  I have no idea how this place doesn't have better reviews. we got appetizers, chicken tenders, and all sorts of barbecue and all of the flavors were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable a very pleasant.
  
  You know me, I rate places on where I go. Not every place is a five-star quality of food, but they can be a 5-star for the quality of food that they provide. This is one of those

  My hubby and I were starving since we did not have time to eat prior to volunteering at the Regional Food Bank. We just wanted something fast, but not fast food. Lucky for us Shorty Smalls is open until 10pm. They got us right in and promptly took our order.  The salads came out in an acceptable amount of time and our soup followed it at a perfect pace. The blue cheese dressing is homemade and was delicious.  I was impressed with the side salad toppings and size  Our waitess was friendly and not pushy. The chili was good.  The environment is made to make you reminisce over the antiques and get comfortable which was nice.  
  Issues: the booth we sat in, it's springs were starting to give. So not the most comfortable. The mixed green salad had a lot of bad lettuce in it, which I placed on the table because I did not want to accidentally eat it and slime on it. I feel like this is an issue with mixed green lettuces so I don't want to be on hard on them about that.  My concern was the waitness never acknowledged the pile of gross lettuce on the table or on my husband's salad plate.  Not really sure I like how natural it was for her to turn a blind eye to things. The silverware was thin and actually dug into my fingers.  So that was not comfortable. Then on the way home both my husband and my stomachs began to hurt too where we visited the bathroom when we got home. I am not sure if this was because of the lettuce or just coincidence.
  Overall, the experience was fine, but the prices are a little higher than I like for some things and then the negatives I listed.  I don't think I will choose to come back, but I would be fine to go if a group was meeting there.

  Visited OKC for a week on a business trip and stumbled into this great place. The burgers were on special for under 8 bucks so i had the mushroom swiss. It was one of the best burgers i ever had and could easily be a $20  burger at other restaurants.
  
  I ended up having a great conversation with the kitchen manager. It was great to see how much pride he had his work.  He spoke highly of the owners and the entire team which is a nice change from hearing people trash their place of work at other place.
  
  He gave me a discount coupon for my next meal here which was about 48 hours later.
  
  This time I had the rib 3 meat special... Another quality meal. This time the general manager came out and chatted ....he was equally as proud of the establishment.
  
  I plan to make one more trip here and have a steak dinner with my daughter before I leave. They cut and age their own steaks. Cant wait...  
  
  The food is awesome but the people are what makes this place so great. The entire staff cared about the experience and it showed.

  I've never been to this bar/restaurant but I know it's been around for quite some time. My friend was craving chicken fried steak so we came to check this place out.
  
  The inside is decorated very old school, like a western movie and the place could use an upgrade, but I'm not judging a book by its covers. We of course ordered the chicken fried steak (regular size and shorty small size) shorty small size is extra large. The sides that it normally comes with is cole slaw and French fries but instead we asked if we could sub them out. The waitress told us it would be an extra charge which was fine.
  
  Overall the food was fine, the chicken fried steak was good but the sides were pretty basic and simple. What made this experience really undesirable though was that when I got the bill each side item was charged $3/$4 per side dish. So we both ended up paying $16 for small side dishes when it should have just been an upcharge. Felt a little ripped off cause if that's the case then she should have given us the original dishes or bigger portions of the sides since we already paid for it.
  
  I would not come back to this place just due to the overall service, food, and atmosphere of the entire place.

  The food is delicious. Try to get Brian as your waiter! He is such a hoot! If you go for lunch like we did, ask him about the off menu lunch rib dinner. The ribs were tender and juicy. Substitute the sweet potato fries for normal fries. My husband got the chicken quesadilla which is on the menu.  They were fully filled and he said they were delicious. I'm sorry there's no pictures, we were too hungry.
